From the Wings is an ongoing project exploring the overlooked presence of British birds — Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay, Chaffinch, Thrush, Greenfinch and House Sparrow. Through experimental photographic methods, the project aims to reveal subtle traces that often go unnoticed in everyday environments. The work encourages a renewed attentiveness to their presence and, at times, their absence highlighting the layered natural and cultural histories embedded in ordinary spaces. By emphasising the extraordinary within the mundane, the project reflects my continued interest in environmental complexity, curiosity, and the quiet narratives that shape how we experience the world.
