Created for SelfScapes, a group exhibition presented in situ within Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire, Floragraphs responds directly to the forest landscape and the exhibition's exploration of the relationships between self, place, and environment. The exhibition invited artists to consider how identity is shaped through encounters with landscape, ecology, memory, and lived experience.

Drawing on the flora of Dalby Forest, the photographs reimagine plant forms through processes of observation and transformation, encouraging a closer engagement with the woodland environment. The work explores how plants act as markers of place, carrying ecological, cultural, and personal associations that connect us to the landscapes we inhabit.

Presented within the forest itself, Floragraphs blurred the boundaries between artwork and environment, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world. The series considers how photography can reveal new ways of seeing familiar surroundings, encouraging a heightened awareness of the fragile and interconnected ecosystems that shape both landscape and self.
